I started my career 20 years ago as a sophomore at the Warsaw University’s Faculty of Law. Since 2011 I have participated in numerous bankruptcy proceedings as an insolvency administrator and a restructuring advisor.

Throughout these years I focused my efforts on advising businesses on various aspects of their operations. I perceive the bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings as the opportunity to transform businesses or their assets, remedy the mistakes in their management and utilising on the market not only their potential based on their assets but mainly on the knowledge of those who, having earned experience related to the threatened insolvency, become far more responsible managers, employers and business partners. The bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings provide the place and time for the coexistence of numerous parties whose interests are often conflicting. The role of a restructuring advisor is to provide them with such guidance that later on, looking from the time perspective, they will conclude that these quite often dramatic events were just the beginning of a new challenge, work and success. Bearing that in mind, together with the other shareholders of Bankruptcy Investment, I want to create the space for matching valuable businesses with the investors capable of making quick decisions, unconventional thinking and using their sense of timing and instincts to identify the potential the others find hard to see.

Shareholder, restructuring advisor and advocate

I started my legal career in 2002 as a student in one of the major laws firms in Warsaw. For the last several years, as an advocate, and since 2013 as an insolvency administrator and a restructuring advisor, I have repeatedly faced the need to balance the business conditions with the applicable regulations which often coincided with the individual circumstances of each project. My vast legal knowledge earned, among others, at the post-graduate studies in corporate law at the Warsaw University as well as criminal-fiscal and business law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, and the professional qualification as a judge, allows me to meet the needs of our clients and counterparties. As a restructuring advisor I have actively participated in managing enterprises from various sectors, including construction, medical, biotechnological, financial, fashion and ICT.
